Dr. William Herr

As one of the hardest-working dentists near Plainville, Dr. Herr not only provides high-quality care but also builds lasting relationships with each person who sits in his treatment chair. Desiring to pursue dentistry while in undergraduate school, he shadowed other professionals only to discover the kind of powerful impact they can have on a person’s life.

After earning his bachelor’s degree from the Ohio State University, he enrolled at the University of Maryland’s School of Dentistry, receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Passionate about prosthodontics, implant dentistry, and oral surgery, he opted to pursue a year-long prosthodontics and oral surgery clerkship.

After graduating, he attended the Veteran Administration’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program. There, he received further advanced training in endodontic treatment, periodontal surgeries, oral surgery, and implants.

Dr. Herr remains an avid student, completing hundreds of hours of continuing education courses and staying up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry. He does this through his memberships in the Academy of General Dentistry and the Massachusetts Dental Society’s Leadership Institute.

When he’s not busy helping patients inside the office, you’ll find him spending time with his family and friends as well as traveling the world and cheering for the Ohio State University football team.

Dr. Andrew Luccio

Dr. Luccio’s extensive training and attentiveness make him an experienced and compassionate dentist near Plainville whom patients appreciate and trust.

Drawn to the healthcare industry from a young age, he grew interested in dentistry because of the close connection he could create with his patients as well as the kind of impact he could have on the community.

With this newfound realization, he completed his bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of Richmond before earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston.

After graduating from dental school, he earned the American Academy of Periodontology’s Achievement Award for academic and clinical excellence in periodontics. This focus and determination remain evident, as he continues to engage in professional organizations to remain abreast of the changes occurring in the industry. Dr. Luccio is an active member of the Massachusetts Dental Society and the American Dental Association. He has also completed advanced training in Invisalign.

Outside the office, he often enjoys spending time with family and friends and exploring the city of Boston. You’ll also find him rooting for the Celtics and Patriots.

Dr. Poya Jafari

As a family-oriented dentist near Plainville, Attleboro Dental Group is pleased to have Dr. Jafari as a member of our clinical team. As the son of Iranian immigrants, he grew up with parents who worked in the science/medical field. While growing up, he developed a passion for science and enjoyed working with his hands. During high school, on a trip to Iran with his family, he embraced the opportunity to shadow a few dentists. Afterward, he realized that dentistry would be the ideal career choice, as it would allow him to combine his interests in engineering and biology.

Attending the University of Massachusetts for his undergraduate studies, he enrolled at the University of Connecticut for dental school. There, he completed two years of medical school and two years of dental school, enhancing his perspective of the field. While at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, he received the Prosthetic Dentistry Award for his clinical performance. Inspired by countless mentors, peers, and instructors, he knew general dentistry was where he wanted to thrive.

While in dental school, Dr. Jafari and several friends organized a mission trip to Honduras to provide dental care to underserved communities.

When he isn’t busy changing lives and smiles, Dr. Jafari spends his time snowboarding with friends in New Hampshire and Vermont and often visits Killington and Loon. You’ll also find him hiking in southern Utah and using his hands to practice woodworking.

Dr. Nancy Mo

As a skilled and friendly dentist near Plainville, Dr. Mo’s work at Attleboro Dental Group provides patients with a warm and welcoming feeling every time they walk into our office.

While in elementary school, she became interested in dentistry after meeting “Dr. Toothy,” a man who explained she would need to have eight teeth extracted as well as metal braces applied all within four weeks. Enduring the orthodontic treatment, she was pleased when she saw perfectly aligned teeth – results that ultimately led to her greater curiosity toward dentistry.

She went on to shadow dentists and completed much research about the field, eventually enrolling in the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education in New York City. As a combined BS/DDS program, she completed her studies and enrolled at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Adding an MPH to her educational pursuits, she graduated and entered a two-year residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. There, she completed advanced training in surgical therapies, esthetic dentistry, implant placement, and endodontics.

Dr. Mo is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Association, and the American Academy of General Dentistry.

An avid traveler, she enjoys spending her time visiting national parks with her family, some of her favorites being the Grand Canyon, Grand Teton, and Yellowstone National Park.

Goldman School of Dental Medicine. After completing his Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency, he earned a Master of Oral Biology.

All of this educational experience came together when he took on the role of clinical associate professor at Boston University in the Department of Periodontology.

Dentistry FAQs

How do I get emergency dental care?

Your first step in obtaining emergency dental care is to call Attleboro Dental Group as soon as possible. Speaking to our staff directly is the fastest way to ensure immediate care. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call 911.

Hospital emergency rooms and urgent care clinics are typically not equipped to handle dental emergencies, so receiving treatment from these providers may be unlikely. In most cases, you can expect to make a same-day appointment here; we are even open Saturdays for your convenience, but please call us directly for availability.

Dental emergencies often mean there are larger dental issues present and are a sign that you should get back into the regular routine of visiting the dentist. These visits can help prevent future emergencies and save you time, money, and even your teeth.

How do I find the best place to get dental work done?

When searching for a new dentist, the first step should be to define what you’re looking for and what is important to you. This usually involves some combination of accepting your dental insurance, the payment and fees expected, the practice’s location, their safety and cleanliness protocols, hours of business, and of course the credentials of the dentist or dentists themselves.

Additionally, you’ll want to ask yourself what kind of dental care you need. Do you want someone who can treat children? Do you need a routine checkup and cleaning? Do you require major restorative work? Are you interested in cosmetic dentistry? Certain treatments are better tailored to certain dentist’s skillsets.

Finally, you’ll want to make sure you feel comfortable with the practice and how they interact with their patients. At Attleboro Dental Group, our team strives to ensure that every patient that walks through our door is treated with kindness and compassion.  We believe in a teamwork-based approach, and we recognize that our patients are real people, not just another set of teeth. How can I make a same-day appointment with a dentist?

The easiest way to make a same-day appointment at Attleboro Dental Group is to call us directly. Sending an email or filling out a web form cannot guarantee you will receive a response as quickly. A phone call also allows our team to better understand your concerns and get you in to receive the best care as soon as possible.

The goal of a same-day appointment is to assess the situation, eliminate the source of pain, and finalize a treatment plan for a future date. In some cases, your dentist may be able to provide more advanced treatment during your initial appointment.

How can I find a female dentist?

About one-third of all dentists currently working in the United States are women, and more than 50 percent of all current dental school students are women, too! To find a female dentist, Google is an excellent resource. Simple search terms like “female dentist near me” should yield accurate results.

At Attleboro Dental Group, we are proud to work with Dr. Nancy Mo! She is a highly skilled, warm, and compassionate dentist with extensive advanced training in everything from esthetic dentistry and surgical therapies to implant placement and endodontics.

You can learn more about Dr. Mo and the rest of our fantastic dental team in the “Meet Your Dentists” section of our website.
